Yuyupas is a indigenous cultural park about the Tsou Tribe located in Alishan, Chiayi County. The name Yuyupas means rich and safe in Tsou. The Morakot Typhoon in 2009 hit the mountain range pretty hard, many of the locals left their tribe. In order to maintain their way of living and culture, the tribe chair person organized the tribe into a cultural park while attracting many tourists to visit and the locals to come back. It is now a great place to experience indigenous cultures in Alishan.

The Tsou happens to be the fewer aborigine population in Taiwan. But the customs and culture were passed down completely including the Tsous in Beishi and Nansan Village. Hiring a local guide for a deep exploration into the local culture has become more popular for tourists interested in aborigine living style.

Yuyupas in situated in Alishan around 1300 meters altitude. Over 2 hectares, the park organized exhibition hall, theater, traditional houses, the house of the princess, restaurant, Shenmu Hall (sacrd tree), artifacts, and traditional designed tree huts. The exhibition hall displays the things from their everyday life from hunting gears to clothing. Traditional houses are to promote the original architect of the tribe to visitors and to the next generation. The tea huts are named after the five traditional surname of the village where you can sip on the finest Alishan tea and admire the view.
