Taipei's first super dome is built on the corner of Nanjingdong Rd and Dunhua North Rd, becoming the newest landmark of Taipei. It is constructed under the hope of uplifting Taipei City's aspects of civic health and internationalism. It is comprised of 2 carpark levels with 5 more storeys above ground level. Those levels include the multi-functional gymnasium and audience balconies of 15000 seats, several VIP lounges, thematic restaurants, control rooms etc. Another deputy building also contains carparks, but in addition public gyms, dance studios, an ice-skating rink, and a hot-food square are also available. The Taipei Arena is designed in a sleek style that is modernistic yet simple. The interior is of a wide stage, spacious enough to hold all kinds of sporting events, religious or political parties, or celebrity concerts. It is the meeting point of both culture and sport.
